Extinction

For several years, Alison lived in the southern African countries of Botswana & Zimbabwe. She returns to Africa annually to sketch in the bush, visit conservation organizations in the field and lead art safaris. Alison makes a donation to African conservation from the sale of every painting, field sketch and limited edition.
 
"I am an Artist inspired by Africa. Initially I focused my art on Africa's incredible wildlife but my visits to conservation organizations showed me that the support of rural communities is absolutely vital to the success of conservation initiatives. As a result, I now feature African people, wildlife and complex conservation issues in my work. Despite the frequent negative stories that emerge from Africa, this is a continent filled with inspiring people, amazing places and a great deal of optimism for the future. I hope to be a part of it."
