ANDREW KAMITI
Andrew Kamiti is a self- taught artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. He has a real passion for birds, the subject matter for which he is most renowned.
His love for birds, and nature in general, has seen him travel the width and breadth of Kenya in search of subjects for his paintings. He spends several hours working on a small area just to accomplish the required effect.
While better known for his watercolours, his more recent pencil drawings are gaining fast recognition. Andrew works very closely from his own photographs, as well as from specimens and plant cuttings.
He has held several exhibitions in Nairobi, San-Antonio-USA and in Cape Town, South Africa.
